To educate and to entertain would seem to be opposing ideas, however in the works of William Shakespeare they go hand-in-hand in the most natural of ways. In formal education: to encourage the inclusion of the systematic study of the life and works of William Shakespeare and the performance of his plays in the education arena at inicial, primary, secondary and upper levels. In informal education: ee aim to bring the knowledge and study in depth of Shakespeare closer to people through the organization of different activities open to the general public.

Along the last four centuries, Shakespeare has influenced the works of innumerable writers, musicians and artists. Practically all significant figures in the field of culture in modern times are in some way related to Shakespeare.  e.
