The directors of the Fundación Shakespeare Argentina were invited to participate in the International Conference of the Shakespeare Theatre Association (STA) that took place from January 2 -8, 2023 in Nassau, (The Bahamas) hosted by Shakespeare in Paradise.
FSA has been an active participant for the last 12 years in STA Conferences, and a member since 2012 at the invitation of its then President, Mr. Patrick Spottiswoode, founder of the Shakespeare’s Globe Education Department in London and advocator for STA becoming an International organisation. Since then, the directors of FSA and the members of STA have been creating and strengthening ties of friendship and collaboration with the International Shakespearean community that brings together producers, artists, academics and educators in Shakespeare.
The opening of the 2023 Conference took place at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas and was officially opened by the Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy of the Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investment and Aviation of The Bahamas.

During the Conference members share ideas, dreams and challenges, as well as common values with non-profit organizations, interested in Shakespeare, in the cultural enrichment of our communities and in international collaborative projects. It is always an inspiring and enriching meeting for all of those who participate in this prestigious international forum where the FSA shows it´s work and that of Argentine artists, says Dr. Mercedes de la Torre, President of Fundación Shakespeare Argentina.
