Fundación Shakespeare Argentina (FSA), -a non profit organisation, Registered as Charity in 2011- is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year 2021. This institution was conceived by founders Mercedes de la Torre and Carlos Drocchi as an Educational, Cultural and Collaborative Project.
FSA is a member of the most prestigious organisations dedicated to Shakespeare : The International Shakespeare Association (ISA), The Shakespeare Theatre Association (STA) and The European Shakespeare Research Association (ESRA).
The founders introduced the institution in July 2011 at the The International Shakespeare Association’s World Shakespeare Congress held in Prague.
In Argentina the launching of the Foundation took place at the 38 Buenos Aires Internacional Book Fair in April 2012.
The first and only institution of its kind in Spanish Latin America, was warmly welcomed in the Shakespeare community ever since its inception in 2011.
