The Directors of Fundación Shakespeare Argentina, Mercedes de la Torre and Carlos Drocchi were invited to introduce a live-streamed reading of William Shakespeare‘s Much Ado About Nothing on The Show Must Go Online, a wonderful initiative in response To COVID-19 created by Robert Myles.
This project allows those in the theatre world affected by closures to stay connected and creative. Once a week every week, a group of talented actors read one of Shakespeare’s 37 plays in the order they were written. This excellent initiative expands the appreciation of Shakespeare, and keep the classical text skills sharp. The hope is that it will also become a point of connection for people who share a passion for these plays, to discover (and entertain) one another.
FSA is delighted to have collaborated and introduce the delicious comedy Much Ado About Nothing.
Much Ado About Nothing
This version, inspired in the Spy world (like James Bond or Mission Impossible), focused on the plot’s consistent use of “noting” (or spying on) other’s goings on.
The livestreamed reading of Much Ado About Nothing took place on Wednesday 15th July at 7pm BST
