In 2016, we commemorated the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. In furthering our celebration of this remarkable event, on Monday, May 16, the Fundación Shakespeare Argentina (FSA)—with the sponsorship of the Spanish Cultural Center in Buenos Aires (CCEBA) and the support of the Spanish Ministry Education, Culture, and Development—celebrated a special homage to Shakespeare and Cervantes in the Book and Language Museum of the National Library of Argentina. We welcomed the participation of Dr. Ángel Luis Pujante (Emeritus Professor of the University of Murcia), who delivered a lecture on “The Shakespeare-Cervantes Relationship: Some Spanish Observations.”
